I have a sudden urge to re-discover the registration number and age, and find out the fate of all the cars I've ever owned (no, I can't remember!). I've checked the DVLA site and can't find anything that might help me. Has anyone out there ever tried to do this themselves, and did you have any luck?
Yours hopefully,
Roger

Hi Roger Through these pages I re-discovered my first car, a 1936 Morgan 4/4. Not only did I meet the current owner, but was put in touch with the person I sold the car to 50 years ago. We all have Morgans, so met up and I was able to drive my original car again. If you go onto the DVLA website you can discover if your car still exists and whether it is on the road or SORN. Well worth the effort

Thanks, Jethro. From a database perspective, my problem is not remembering the registration numbers of my previous(non-Morgan) cars. I was hoping DVLA would be able to provide a search based on my ownership. So far I've not found such a thing.

Only trouble is you won't remember why you wanted it

I know what you mean. I'm with Slartibartfarst on this - if I learn something new, something old has to drop out of the other side of my brain to make room for it.

I checked one of my Father's cars (D suffix - 1966) a while ago, to find it is still registered with DVLA, but has been off road for a good number of years. A check locally with CCCC and nationally with the Rootes 1725 forums revealed no knowledge (it is a Humber Sceptre MkII). I last saw it some 20 plus years ago parked in a side street close to where I lived in Cheltenham a while ago. If someone is restoring it I'd love to see it again or even own it! Many of my old LRs are still on the road...
