Yes it does!!

Fitted the angel lights and I get a flashing display in the speedo "Bulb Failure"!!

It doesn't like the LED sidelights!
Anyone know how to fool the computer?

I believe you need to fit a resistor in the circuit, I'm sure someone will know exactly what and where.

I think you are correct, where is easy, but what needs someone who understands these electron things...!

The standardside light is 1.5w, I think. Obviousy the LEDS are less as the "brain" sees an open circuit.

The handbook made no mention of the bulb failure indicator!

Side lights are normally 5w

You'll need a 3w resistor. About 48-68 ohm

Or find a friendly bmw centre to reprogram your ecu to the led resistance.

Putting load resistors sort of negates the low power Useage of LEDS as you are still consuming the same power as a normal filament bulb.

You are right, putting a load resistor in parallel does negate the low power drain of LEDs but I'm more concerned about the visibility of the parked car.

I've also discovered that like a BMW the parking lights are controlled by the indicator stalk, you can't just leave the car with the side lights on. You have to select a side to illuminate!

Electronically it is more of a BMW than a Morgan. I don't mean that in a negative way, either.

No, you're right. Complication aside I've had no electrical problems on my S3 Aero so thank you BMW and well done Morgan (although I find the cruise control works a bit oddly and tend not to use it...)

When I fitted some DRL style headlamps I used a Scotchlock connector to splice into the sidelight wire to connect the LED's. I had to leave the original sidelight bulb in situ and tucked it up behind the headlight to fool the computer and avoid a bulb failure message on the dash display. Keith's solution, however, seems rather more professional and still cost effective.
