Today I did some homework on the M3W. New fuel gauge (VDO 280mm). Suddenly the petrol level rose from 0 to 46%
And than I put some heat protection bandage on the Moggy. I put the bank into water first and applied it. Needs some 5 to 6 meters for each side. Have the same length on stock now... Its very impressive for the first 10 minutes drive when all the water evaporates! For later show effect it may be a cool trick to poor some water over the bandage before starting.

I was surprised that after running the car for some 30 minutes there was hardly any smell. There are a lot of different heat protection straps on the market. I got 30meters, 5cm wide and 2mm strong for € 42,50 from WilTec /Germany incl. posting and tax. I found lots of more expensive offers in the i-net. Lets see how long it will stay on the pipes...

are the rock guards on the lights from the factory,if so how much, i just placed my order yesterday, might have to tell my dealer to add the rock guards.

No idea if original or aftermarket. I told my dealer I wanted the lights that way. And I have no price available as it was part of an other deal. Sorry that I can't help you on this subject.

Looks cool, thanks for the Pictures , Austrian, I am still thinking if or if not to do it on my Super Dry M3W...I am a little concerned if the exhaust finish will suffer under the bandages due to the heat?

The exhaust finish is going to suffer anyway. After over 14,000 miles mine look very much the worse for wear and there is no cleaning them up. I've seen them glow a cherry red at night!
The bandages may help keep the turn signal LEDs from going soft and melting as has been reported on. This only happens when you come to stop either at a light or shutting down.
