Someone has prepared these figures for Aero production:

2001 - 50 cars
2002 - 140 cars
2003 - 80 cars
2004 - 50 cars
2005 - 50 cars
2006 - 60 cars
2007 - 80 cars

I don't have figures for this year, but Charles forecast 140 cars (including Aeromax's) in his interview with Drivers Republic in May this year.

Hope this helps Steve. thumbs

If I may be so bold, and these are just guesses, I have used Brians figures and added the S1,S2 or S3 against the years.

2001 - 50 cars - S1
2002 - 140 cars - S1
2003 - 80 cars - S1
2004 - 50 cars - S1 (Inc GTN @ 11 cars? or was it 2003?)
2005 - 50 cars - S2
2006 - 60 cars - S3
2007 - 80 cars - S3

So this gives:
320 S1's
50 S2's (of which most went to the States I believe)
140 S3's

Sounds about right from what I have heard but all an approximation.

Cheers

Well done Andy. I think when you put them into the different Series, possibly the S1's are over-stated, as I was always told that there were about 80 S2's made, most of which were exported to NA with only 10/12 staying in the UK. This makes the right-hand drive S2 a very valuable car, especially if they have Reflex paint (or even metallic black). thumbs

Thus, this would reduce S1's in 2001 to possibly 40, and S1's in 2002 to 120, and increase S2's in 2005 to 80. This means:
S1 - 290 cars
S2 - 80 cars
S3 - 140 cars
What say you? cozychair

P.S. GTN's were indeeed 2004 cars

Looking at S2's currently for sale, I believe they were in 2006 also.

One article dated March 2006 said that over 400 Aero's had been built to date. I don't know how early in the cycle my S3 was but that was registered in Oct 06. Perhaps Simon knows.

Chassis number 365, now owned by Asbojohn, was delivered on the 9th Sept 05 and was one of the last S2's produced and the only right-hand drive car in production at that time; I visited the factory a number of times during its construction.

Before the end of the year production of the S3 had commenced, which was a bit of an issue for me at the time frown so if any S2 was registered in 2006, then it is just a delay between production and registration. smile

That got you thinking.
Thanks Chaps.

This all stated from reading an article in 'Classic for sale' or similar, that a chap had at work, where it stated that there were only 11 S1s produced and that these were worth buying as an 'investment'???

I think they meant S1 GTN's and even then that was the target number of which only 9 were actually made.

I've seen recently a couple GTNs for sale this one is number 10.

http://www.morgan-motor.co.uk/sales/used_car_locator_details.phtml?id=2810

I was told that less than 20 RHD Series 2 were produced, if true this makes them almost endangered. thumbs The Allon White (Red) Series 2 I was told had sold over the summer, but this is clearly not the case now. I was a bit taken back with the price as this is Series 3 money, and nearly fell over when they did my insurance valuation.

I didn't realise when a bought the car it would be worth more than Woolworths. grin2
