Ok I placed my order last week, so i have been on here more. I have a question on the engine upgrades the stage 1 , 2 and 3. Can you order those new on your build, or is it a dealer add on after you get it. i might go ahead and do stage 2 if i can get it done during the build process. and just cut out the white leather i was going to go with, to help off set the added cost. and has anyone done the stage 2 upgrade and is it worth the cost.

Are the upgrades officially available now? I must have missed the announcement
Personally I wouldn't want to be Morgan's development mule on this... I would love to think that the upgrades have been thoroughly tested but experience tells me it might be better to wait a while!

sorry i don't know if they are available yet, I have just seen post on others talking about the upgrades. these upgrades have been talked about for awhile so i had assumed they were out. and was just wondering if you can get them during the build, or is it going to be a dealer thing.

I am sure you will be able to order them both as an after market add-on (at a high cost, of course) and as a from the factory option. But as Vspec said, being one of the first to fit these upgrades means you will also be among the first to see if they actually compensated for the gains in power else where, like the bevel box or rear sprocket.

thanks MI3Wheeler that is true, i was mostly thinking of stage 2. it seems to just let the engine breath better and get the gasses out faster. not really wanting to do the big bore upgrade. but if i can get all the hp out the regular engine that would be nice.

Well I'm not sure it needs any more power. One thing is for sure the old girl does feel much better with 12000 miles on the clock. Better breathing would be good but really can't see why it needs more power, especially if that means more torque. Not sure the new compensator and or gearbox would like it much.

I agree with Matty, doesn't need more power, that's not what the car is about, more power would probably destroy it quicker, it already feels like it's tearibg itself apart.

They haven't even got the standard spec to work properly yet. Cannot agree more that a higher power version would just fail quicker as things are at the moment. An ECU map with no high RPM detonation would be a good start.

So, I think what everybody is saying is to just get the standard car, in the colour scheme of your choice, bed it in and get used to its' little quirks, then after a year or two, start thinking how it can be improved. That's when the fun really starts.

thanks everyone, thats what i needed. when i did my test drive found it plenty fast enough. but you know human nature, if someone has the something but a little better you want it. i will stick with the standard engine and just do the custom leather.
