I am seriously considering purchasing a new 3 wheeler. Reading the forum it is hard to separate many (early model) owner issues and complaints from the newer updated 2014 model. I realize that the M3W has constantly been changing and improving, but since the most significant change was with the 2014 model, and that is what I am considering purchasing, I would like to here from these owners as to their specific ownership experiences including reliability and service experience.

Please only owners or ex owners, or those with close first hand experience with a 2014 model chime in.

Thanks

I have responded privately to the OP regarding his desire to purchase a 2014 model. I haven't done many miles in my new one but I can already say that it feels 'better' to drive than my 2013 example. It's hard to say how exactly but it just feels more at ease with itself.

I've had my 2014 for 2 months now and have only covered about 250 trouble-free miles so far.

Honestly, with all of the posts about things breaking in the 12/13 models, I've been waiting for something bad to happen, but the car has been flawless so far.

2014 owner, all issues were specific to parts regular 2014 M3Ws don't have (special exhausts and special suspension).

So, if you forget those (that won't affect you) what I can say is that my 2014 spec M3W has already clocked 2000 miles and so far I have no issues to report.

2014 owner since June 2014, breaking in done very careful due to very hot weather conditions at that time. 4 Exhaust-Bobbins replaced at first service, covered 3000km in total.
Needs 98, better 100 Octane (Austrian-) Petrol to prevent engine from knocking, bevel box noisy, once running temperature reached; very little occasional chirping of the belt drive. Otherwise fun, fun, fun and tons of waving, people taking pictures, smiles, happy people all around.
Can't wait to get her out again in April 2015, maybe if march is sunny and dry...?

I've got a 2013 with most of the 2014 upgrades, Centra drive unit, Comfort kit steering geometry, improvements and Urban cooling kit. Now with over 11,000 miles it is running better than ever!

Great to hear you're back on the road at last.

Hopefully we'll get to meet up in 2015 drive

Yep,I've been out in the car a lot over the last few days. It's rather chilly and the car doesn't like the ice but it is great fun. Next time you are passing through let me know.
