My beloved Molly (2007 Plus 4) has had a fantastic year; 1,700 miles on an amazing island hopping trip around the Outer Hebrides in September; and 700 miles to Gheluvelt and the Somme for a WW1 trip in October - all trouble free.

Beautiful sunny cold day today, so I went down to my local, The Talbot at Knightwick, roof down to meet friends. I'd only been there 10 minutes when some idiot reversed a Vauxhall into my rear wing in the car park right outside the front door, caved it in and drove off without stopping!

We're hoping to have caught his number on CCTV. Gutted and really p***ed off!

Hope you find the culprit and if you do let us know and a few of us can arrange a visit to explain the benefits of courtesy and not driving off after an accident.

If you get the CCTV footage call police as they will pursue him for not stopping too.
Someone like that needs to be taught a lesson.
Make sure the pub has the footage and burn it to disc as some systems delete after a given time.

That's really bad luck. I hope the cctv yields the number and that the arrogant little twerp fronts up with the necessary money to repair Molly.

Really sorry to hear about that, nothing worse than someone bashing your pride and joy and then not being decent enough to own up. We had a similar incident with a Freelander in a public car park, luckily a member of the public took pictures and reported it to the police, they chase the offending person and as they had evidence threatened court action for failing to report an incident and driving away, even though no one personally in our car. The owner then owned up and the insurers were force to pay out for our repairs, it took 3 months though.

I hope it works out for you,

Adrian

I can sympathize, same kind of occurrence happening to me and my '69 4/4 in 1972. Staff car park, silly bitch driving a Ford Mustang backed into left rear wing and drove off. Luckily a workmate witnessed the incident from a third floor window and informed me. The culprit was employed in another department and known to both of us.
I confronted her the next day and basically got a blank check to cover all damages which turned out to be quite significant. New wing, installation and painting costs; adding substantially to her expenditures were the cost of a new tail-light and complete new rear chassis wiring harness which had gone up in smoke when I turned on my headlights to go home after my evening shift. It hadn't occurred to me to check for the possibility of damaged wiring, I never imagined that the manufacturer would omit a fuse to protect the rear lighting circuitry! (now rectified) I'm hoping the erring scum bag that wounded your Molly is found and also prosecuted for leaving the scene.
