Interesting videos P964. From the soundtrack you were using ProTune II on the move? Never though of doing that, I have only used it sat in the garage. Was the overvoltage caused by a faulty rectifier, which then fried the ECU?

The rectifier wiring schematic was changed as a recall about a year ago. I believe it was an improved grounding.
Apparently this stops the rectifier failure.

The over voltage was spurious as the voltage ex the rectifier was controlled To 14.4 v max. By this time I'd had the HD rectifier installed for some months before this issue started

Eventually the ECU was pumping four intakes of fuel per cycle, at low revs, instead of one hence the low throttle choking and soot ex exhaust.

I haven't heard of this before. I shall ask my dealer as car is currently under repair so they may be able to carry out any improvements
