We stayed at Brands Hatch Place Hotel "last year" - actually 2013 - on the way back from Canterbury. There was a race on when we arrived and the noise was intrusive, but not unpleasant. It's probably less than half a mile from the circuit. I mentioned it to the receptionist, who said that when certain races take place, you can't have a conversation in their car park because of the noise.

I have stayed for a couple of nights at the Hotel Arbor on the Mulsanne straight during the Le Mans 24 hour race and the noise was nothing short of intrusive. Very loud in fact! Petition signed.

Signed. Need one for pig farms too - a friend of a friend had to close a long term family business as the village grew out to meet his pig units. Spent thousands on air filters etc but was eventually closed down.

If the village didn't get him the "animal welfare" free range market would have done.
My farming friends tell me that 50% of the UK pig population are now kept in open fields with shelters and it is estimated that 70% will be. Amusingly you don't need planning position to keep pigs in open fields...!
Increasingly it is difficult to sell pork from pigs kept in sheds against low price pork from eastern Europe and (don't tell anyone) China.

Signed by me &  Fully agree and sympathise with Chehire David's points (hope I haven't been too noisy leaving CarFest for last 2 years - certainly my lap of Oulton at 30mph broke no laws ) and I also agree with Graham about the poor standard of English used in the actual petition (he wants legislature rather than legislation to control the moved-in mimbys?).
