Two weeks ago I drove a friend's 3 Wheeler in France and I am totally hooked even if the 0 degree temperatures had a dampening effect on my wife. I am also a new Forum member and this is my first post. Having owned open top cars and motorcycles most of my life and as an enthusiastic ex- Harley owner I have to fill the gap since my wife announced( after her 60th) that she is now no longer keen on a 2 wheeler. The 3 wheeler was a 2013 model with some upgrades up front, but as far as handling was concerned I was very impressed. The only potential problem I am worried about is the leg room for me. I am 6' 4" with a lot of my length in the leg department. I had nowhere to put my clutch leg and ended up almost resting it on the clutch but also trying not to apply pressure to damage the clutch and this made my leg tired and I started to develop cramp. I am very keen on this most fantastic vehicle and the whole Morgan lifestyle and really do not want to be put off at this stage so would love to hear from owners with similar leg problems and how they deal with it. Kind Regards, Kipper I am nearly as tall as you. An essential mod is a steering wheel spacer. Mine is 50mm and came from Krazy Horse. It makes a big difference. Paul Jacobs also fitted a smaller-diameter wheel to his M3W and that must help too. You will never be super-comfortable, however.

Thanks for this. He had a spacer in already as well as a smaller steering wheel and he had the pedals moved back as far as possible. My size 12s plus long legs just made for a bit of a challenge plus once or twice I stepped on the accelerator when braking. This however is less of an issue as I now know not to wear winter boots which are wider than shoes.

I assume the pedals were in the furthest away position ?
The pedals are on a cradle, and with the car predrilled for 3 positions are very easy to move if required. The hardest bit is pushing the rubber grommets back into the unwanted holes !

Hi, not a problem for me. But i read on here some time ago that people with long legs raised the front of the seat up with a strip of wood to angle the seat and give a longer reach to the pedals?

Coming back to new 3-wheelers:
Has MMC finally changed to proper fuel gauges pointing the actual level or do they still use the odd ones indicating an empty tank when only 30% of the petrol has been used?

Kipper, I have a Momo wheel with the flat bottom. Seat raise also good. The peddles CAN be moved still beyond the factory locations. You use the last front holes in the frame and drill two more holes to the front. I reenforced the front holes with a plate the same thickness as the frame. I am 6'4" and can place my clutch foot flat on the floor. Good luck

The peddles CAN be moved still beyond the factory locations. You use the last front holes in the frame and drill two more holes to the front. But watch out for the clutch pedal striking the hydraulic pipes. This can happen even at the extreme factory setting as has been discussed before (but I can't find the thread)
