I saw a morgan presentation on youtube 2014 geneve new morgan +4 and noticed that there are no lights on the wings of the new models
. Does this have a reason ?

Health and safety, they can now only be fitted after market.
.+8 Now gone for a 1800 4/4. Duratec in bright yellow.

I believe the wiring is there tucked away.

This came in with the 4/4 Sport in 2008 (?) as a measure for MMC to be able to produce the car at below £30k.
I think some of the other measures were :
Pram Hood, No spare wheel, limited colour choice for paint and upholstery, plus no doubt others.

For homologation the sidelights must now be integral with the headlight- so I am told. Lights on the wings can be fitted aftersales - but I like the clean look on my 4/4 sport - it is easier to clean, less bits to corrode and less wiring to go wrong.

IMO wing lights are a must particularly going down narrow lanes in the dark great sight lines!
