Remember......it's not a competition for fastest run! There is scope for a spirited run though, with a nice start and acceleration . However, when the bends approach remember what you are in. Shelsley is a power run more hand bendy one, so the opportunity to use the straighter sections is good. The bends are ok but be bloody careful! If it is wet then even more so. Remember Em....if your lip starts to curl back off!

There are plenty of 'incidents' on the hill on U Tube if you want a speed moderator.

DaveW. Thanks for that Dave, are you simply Redding it or mellow Yellowing it this year nice to have a choice. Not sure yet, might give the Roadster an airing, but don't fancy reversing into that space! (or lack of).

I'd see if you could arrange with MMC to reserve the grass area behind the sheds purely for Aeros that want to do the hill. It would be quite a display as a bonus! Who is the best contact, Jayne? If so I'd be more than happy to get the ball rolling...seeing as you are "laid up". Still if all goes well you should be walking again and more importantly driving again for the event! Probably Jayne. I'll not be back to the factory until April at the earliest so won't be able to assist. If I do go the event I won't be driving it. I've been up enough times now and my preference really is for Prescott as a driving experience. Peter

Dave 2 years ago I had a very narrow shed & drove in with roughly 1/2 inch either side. They vary but definitely won't aeros

Remember......it's not a competition for fastest run! There is scope for a spirited run though, with a nice start and acceleration . That was exactly my thoughts too. Till I was on the chocks at the start line and the steward said "when the lights go green set off in your own time.." My foot "accidently" floored the throttle and.....

Aha! The "red mist syndrome"! Practice your starts somewhere to get the "feel"..... A quiet road with a slight slope to mimic Shelsley...... I have the golf club drive to use! A bit of wheel spin and fishtail to please the crowds..... Take revs up to get speed up then watch carefully and ease back at bends/curves, careful throttle on exits, the course is a bit narrow for drifts..... Pick the flies out of your teeth at the end due to the large smile.... At Prescott there are more tight bends so the fun is getting your lines right and not so much out and out speed. Shelsley is not as " bendy". Oh no! All this talk is making me want to book runs myself now....

DaveW......Shelsley suits the Roadster more than 4/4. More of a power run than Prescott with its hairpins, and there's no need to take risks, just let the car show its colours (no pun re red or yellow!)

I've heard The hill climb really suits a Morgan 4/4 Four seater with 4 occupants, luggage and a folded wheelchair on the back
That's how I'll be going up the hill this year
Might take off my hat to lighten the load
Will I break 1 minute?
