Excellent read! Calum 14500 miles ...hey respect! That's not just this year it has taken me two years! Hopefully will be picking it up from Revolutions tomorrow after its last "in warranty" service and sort out. The work's done, just don't want too much snow for the journey.

Forecast is 3C & sun for Perth. For Aberdeen it showers morning & rain all afternoon & 3C. 'Perfect' M3W weather.

Forecast is 3C & sun for Perth. For Aberdeen it showers morning & rain all afternoon & 3C. 'Perfect' M3W weather. Just back from Perth after a bit of a late start - was woken up just before my alarm went off this morning by the sound of the wind and the driving rain so went straight back to sleep. Changed my mind later and jumped on the train. Run up the dual carriageway was fine apart from the crosswinds till about Laurencekirk when the rain started, by the time I got to Stonehaven it was a particularly refreshing grade of horizontal rain. Think I'll have to spend tomorrow hosing the salt out of the nooks and crannies ( of the car, I'll be fine!) Only saw one convertible all day and he had his roof up - the big woos.

Calum great stuff you must be the hardiest M3W pilot. Is everything sorted to your satisfaction & what work was done? My latest job was to fit Philips +130% headlamp bulbs but I've not tried them yet. Tim

Tim Will be really interested to see how this improves the headlamps. Standard units are horrible. Matt

As reccommended by a previous thread on this subject I recently fitted a set of Osram Nightbreakers. Much brighter than stock, makes a huge difference.

The Philips came top in a recent Auto Express test but I doubt if you could tell the difference between them & Osram on the road. Either should be a lot better than originals. The main thing is to keep your lamps adjusted as they seem prone to going off. Does anybody have a small bit of rubber between the bottom of the rim & lamp shell? if not my dealer must have inserted it. Tim
