I think possibly Aero S5 back to a convertible with the Ford V6 3.7. All the latest offerings from McLaren/Ferrari etc now have less than 4.0lt engines Just much better ones

What Morgan really lacks in its product range is a car that can do 0–100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.4 seconds, and with a top speed of 325 km/h (202 mph).
Naturally in order to satisfy trad buyers the proposed supercar will not have such mamby pamby items as ABS and traction control, and will naturally be fitted with the Morgan "trademark" sliding pillar front suspension, but, as a concession to the modernists, it will have coil-overs controlling the rear live axle.

The rumour I have heard rules out a trad chassis variant. My guess is this too. Staying with the trad set-up would be a kind of stagnation.

Beginning to think it might be the EVA GT in a new more Aero like body and as a soft top.
If they have replaced aluminium with magnesium in most places then the 3.7L V6 should have more than enough power.
Peter the 'magnesium experiment' failed. No carmaker is using it for body panels, only as an alloy constituent in castings for gearboxes, other casings and structural members. As I understand it, the plasticised sandwich coatings necessary to stabilise magnesium body panels against atmospheric oxygen, moisture etc were incompatible with superforming, bonding etc and other aspects of the manufacturing process - let alone trying to repair bodywork outside the factory. A brave experiment, but way too bleeding edge... As an example of of how unstable magnesium alloys are, I have a BAR Honda F1 (remember them?) wheel in my dry, warm study which leaves a pile of white dust underneath it as it slowly corrodes in air...

Sad to hear the real reasons... I'd been hoping that their "clever bit" was a new magnesium alloy that formed a protective oxide film and then stopped crumbling and could be thermoformed.... Trying to keep the air out by using any sort of bonded polymer was never going to work, I'm surprised they actually tried. Frightening stuff. We used to play around with small bits of the stuff when I was a kid. An old guy down the road from us had some salvaged used aircraft parts and some bits used mag alloy.

Be careful what you wish for I guess is the moral of that story! What car is that exactly? Looks like something Marcos would be making if they were still around...
