Actually no to Castrol R. For the smell you can't beat it, but oil sold as two stroke oil is both designed to lubricate and be burnt in petrol. So I just use whatever is cheap!

Well this is the weird thing. As the fuel gauge is so crap, I use the trip meter. The gauge was reading 0 but had only been doing so for 50 miles or so. The trip meter from what I thought was a full tank was reading 200. I must have reset the trip at some point and forgot I'd done it. Senility creeping in. Generally I do fill up as soon as I hit zero, knowing I should at least have 100 miles spare capacity.
I'm also gonna invest in a mini jerrycan of some sort.
At one piont the guy was muttering about, hoping his apprentice had been storing break cleaner in the can also.
It ran fine after adding new fuel so I'm going to take the old girl for a blast today and hope for the best!!!!

Another good advice: get the proper VDO fuel level cylinder in 280mm length.
Costs some £50,- and takes few minutes for exchange. You can do it yourself.
The 240 mm cylinder is compltely useless. It's such a shame Morgan supplies the TW with the wrong unit.

Example: ( but you need 54??mm diameter / have to check )

I am just reading the OHB for my newly arrived 2014, and it says fuel capacity 25 liters at "E" (0%) + there is a maximum of 15 liters remaining.

They must have an overstock of short gauges.

I'm told by an oil company chemist I know, that my use of two stroke oil is both cheaper and better.

No idea why Morgan sell the 5 speeder with what is really the wrong gauge unit. I did for a couple of years have a Rover 214 and that had a 12 gallon tank. 12 showed full, 8 showed half full (you can see where this is going can't you) and 4 gallons remaining showed empty. An easy 140 miles could be driven at speed, but you'd give up and fill up before going that far!
