Had a good night out at Cranmog Noggin 30 odd miles cross country to get their, then 30 miles of fast B roads home great fun you just got to love Cibie spotlights!
Back in the day when much younger and foolish my Avenger Tiger had four super oscars fitted with 100 watt bulbs plus headlights it was like driveing in daylight the poor alternator.
Weather forecast looked like the best day for quite a while so set off and it rained, not forecast, then roadworks and then solid traffic for half an hour. So turned off my planned route and went via Broadway, Prescott, Winchcombe, Burford and home. 115 miles in patchy rain, wet roads and I had a great time. As an added bonus it's still raining so I can't wash the car and can watch England play Italy in the six nations rugby.
Went yesterday afternoon in the Mog sidescreens off to Oulton Park for Oakmere's Lotus track day session. Went for a spin as a passenger in their 3.5l Evora S - great fun! Nice run out and as I drove through Frodsham about half a dozen teenage lads shouted out "Nice car!". Good to get into these teenagers minds!
That looks disgustingly sunny! Dull here in the Midlands. No Morgan drive for me as still laid up but thanks to the kindness of Wirewheel (Ian) who called round on Friday, Nero now has a new battery fitted and is fully charged up! I might even try to sit in and start it during the week
Jays Former Morgan owner. Gone but hopefully not forgotten!
