I read in the current edition of MOG magazine that the era of MMC's "Bad Boys" (aka the Aero range: 8, Max, SuperSports and Coupe) is now coming to an end with the production of the Coupe slowly winding down! A sad time, indeed!

But on a brighter note, I'm also thrilled to hear that the two GT3 cars are now being brought our of their undeserved retirement and will be taking on the established names in GT class racing: Ferrari 458, McLaren MP4 12C, Porsche 997 GT3, Audi R8/10, BMW Z4 M (to name but a few); and a couple of newcomers like the formidable Bentley Continental GT and horrendously quick Nissan GTR! (Are the Mogs minnows among the heavyweights?)

Does anyone have any info which of the classes the Mogs will be racing in? Is it the Blancpain Endurance Series, or is it the FIA GT Series? (Yep, I keep having to go back to the YouTube clips which showed those 2 Mogs at Silverstone a couple of years back just to remind myself of Malvern's finest in action ....)

Richard Thorn has an entry in the BRITCAR 24hr race 24-26 April at Silverstone.

And young Will Plant, who occasionally races Morgans in the Aero Challenge rounds (when not racing Porsches) will be in the 2009 car at Silverstone.

I wonder whether this is a prelude/stepping stone to the more intense (and prestigious) Blancpain Endurance...?? Love to see the little guy (Morgan) hold its own against the big boys!
