We use an FPL gauge to test the opening of points. With the thin end between the switch (movable) rail and the the stock (static) rail the points should show as being correct. With the thick end in the same place, the points should show as not being in the correct position (detection).

Quite obviously, Chunky my friend, they are BUFFERS, one for each corner, the front ones to biff away the Class Bs in front at each corner, whilst the rear ones can absorb the impact of Keith Ahlers as he tiresomely tries to lap the field. Again.

I've checked the regs and there's NOTHING to say a car can't have buffers. Sorry to release this info into the public domain Lawrie but you did ask.

laugh2

Going by what the Plants have built, Keith will not be having an easy time this year.

Very good Jeremy but unfortunately these are NOT buffers.
