Good luck with this!

After a two year battle to have the suspension and compliance issues with my new 4/4 resolved locally I also decided that a sensible phone call to Pickersleigh Road would be the way forward.

Reception advised that “Mr Morris was unavailable to take your call” but I was invited to leave a message regarding my detailed letter and contact details on his direct answering service.

No response or acknowledgement of any sort after six weeks led me to believe the only avenue left was to present the matter to the National Motoring authorities.

A copy of my letter to our Federal Department of Infrastructure and Transport got a prompt, supportive response.

The Department’s involvement and “monitoring” (their words) not only cornered Morgan into a third attempt to fix my car but has facilitated repairs to post September 2006 vehicles sold locally for the owners who wanted them made ADR compliant.

I am now convinced the only way to resolve substantive Morgan issues is to bring them before the relevant automotive regulators and/or consumer authorities on the grounds of “fit for purpose”. This would appear very relevant for M3W owners given significant issues with the vehicle and manufacturer support.
ooo

I have good weather till april, then i plan to ship the m3w to the factory by sea..and do all the new upgrades & maybe keep it in Portugal & register it there or ship it back to kuwait.
How much will it cost to register it in Portugal?23% ?
Plus it will be registered as a bike correct?but u dont need a motorcycle license to drive it correct?
Cecies portagul.

This was introduced several months ago (and has been used by our dealer network since last November) ... We aim to answer any queries through our DSC within 24hrs.

We do listen to our customers and are constantly monitoring our own systems to provide a better service, sometimes we're unable to react as quickly as we'd like and it would be naïve of us to think that our customer service is at the required level for the marque but we are moving in the right direction.
Obviously the contact information has not filtered through to the group, please contact us through this channel with any issues or questions you may have (although your nearest dealer should always be the first point of contact).

Regards

Mark

I suspect his post was aimed at diffusing that particular thread

I did exactly as he asked and sent an email to the address he gave on 23rd July. I haven't had a reply or even an acknowledgement.

If I had a Mark Evens working for me he'd have been fired long ago! I know this thread starts back some time ago but every time I see a loyal Morganeer having these troubles it infuriates me.

Its not a bit of oil though...i will just keep it as is & wipe it off every hr or so...
Just wondering though if the cover is tightened without the washers will the belt chamber fill up to the belt with oil?

The seal around the crank can get damaged, but not unless you pull the crank's timing belt sprocket off to get to the main chamber. It would be hard to damage unless you had taken the intermediate cover off. I keep a spare just in case. It is a rubber ring with a spring.
As for the pulleys; you can get all s&s parts cheaper and quicker from a different s&s supplier.

Found it on ebay...
The Morgan car company doesnt seem to care about customers/service! im waiting for the geneve motorshow to see how the new morgan looks. But with no dealership close by & how their customer service is..i have to think twice.
