The 2001 Silver Road/Racing Aero MK 1 recently for sale with BHM was advertised with 60k miles. I saw this car when it was sold up in Scotland with Russel Patterson in 2009 and although it was stripped for racing, was road legal. Not sure how it got so many miles up, must have been more a road car than a racer because that's a lot of trips round a track.

Quick correction - my Aeromax had done only around 25k miles total I've done more than 50k miles in Aetos, but spread across 4 cars. S1,s2,s4,Aeromax... Figure shooter will have the highest mileage here on a single car.. Look forward to hearing Shooter's mileage, which as you say must be the highest in one car by some distance; at least on TM. I've done about 75k miles in five different Aero's - S1, S2, S3, AeroMax, Aero SS. Let's wait and see the new car at Geneva, as it would be nice to break 100K!

When considering highest mileage, I think that is a tricky one as I know that Morgan odometers are not necessarily that accurate, and can measure high or low depending on calibration, and that includes the newer cars taking miles meter readings from a sensor on the rear of the gearbox and then multiplying that by a factor to get the turns per mile at the wheel. If it's not set up right the inaccuracy can be quite large. Cheers

Yes - my Aero over-reads and the mileometer is out by about 10% compared with several 'normal' cars I do the the same run in.
So my mileage is actually lower than it shows by 10%. Can't remember but about 17,500 on a 2007 car so not enough. The M3W has done 4,100 in just over 2 years so that's a part excuse.
It's nice though when passengers think we're doing 90 and we're only doing about 80...

Cheers Interesting, I always wondered why most of our Aero speedo's were not very accurate, the Aero SS read about 10% fast when checked against a GPS

I can't be bothered to look but am fairly sure there's a way of reprogramming the speedometer if you want to, and that it's covered somewhere in TM. Why Morgan don't make the speedos more accurate is one of the many Morgan questions of philosophical interest that keeps the mystery alive!

There certainly is a way of reprogramming the Smiths speedos on the 4/4 and Duratec engined Plus4 using the trip button. I did it after fitting a competition back axle on my 4/4 Sport. The only problem is....I've forgotten where I found the instructions!

So there are several variables and presumably this is why any inaccuracy can occur if the ECU is or cannot be adjusted to reflect this.

Yes it's easy to reprogram your speedo.
Mine was 10% over but I've got it spot on now
