Firstly I CANNOT for the life of me see how this can be folding Hard Top and secondly why would you want one?
Part of the nostalgic fun is carefully raising and lowering a good old soft top

Each to their own Viper. You can't lower or raise the roof on an Aero Max or Coupe, but they still have that same "heritage" nostalgia. I for one am game. Wouldn't do if we were all the same....we'd all be driving Mondeo's!!!!

For the life of me I can not see any sign of a fold-away top. A soft top version with a hide-away storage space for the hood would be nice.

A hood that folds flat like the digital s1 hood does - leaving a clear line would make me happy. Folding hard top or pram hood means my wallet stays shut..,

It wouldn't bother me either way (soft top or tin top) so long as it comes off. I just think the profile of the vehicle looks great. Shame it hasn't got that raked rear like the S1 mind.

Don't forget that these are stylists renderings......roll on next week for some detailed photographs of the car, the roof and what lurks under the bodywork!
It's not long now!!

Part of the nostalgic fun is carefully raising and lowering a good old soft top . Exactly , it would be totally out of character with the Morgan ethos .

Dean, I'm with you on that (funnily enough I've got a 430 coming in 2 weeks time!). As for soft tops being what Morgan are all about.....that's one view people are perfectly entitled to. Another is that Morgan have tried to modernise with cutting edge technology (underneath the Aeros)and incorporating modern techniques whilst blending with nostalgic style.

The bmw 430 roof is a masterpiece of modern automotive engineering which is obviously in keeping with that type of motor , however it would be totally alien in a Morgan which is quintessentially a British sports car of tradition. Chris Lawrence was determined to make the aero light ,nimble and agile which he explained in detail to me back in 2001 , the very thought of a heavy ,complicated , , ugly and lazy roof mechanism would make his blood boil I'm sure. If you want a totally modern morgan ,I suggest you buy a totally modern alternative ,as morgan is probably not the brand you think it should be !
