Mmmmmmm nice quite envious of those people who'll be able to enjoy one.

I was being tongue in cheek, but Morgan repositioned the Aero with the Max, Supersport and Coupe - and rightly so. A nicely trimmed, lightweight, V8 powered sportscar is not going to provide the margins (at £60k) as a bespoke, lightweight V8 powered sportscar sold at £100k.
One of the biggest criticisms of the McLaren when it was launched was it lacked "soul" - that can never be said of Morgans. At £60k people are still likely to buy based on spec - performance, economy etc. At £100k people become far more focussed on having a car that reflects who they are and also far more likely to have numerous cars so an additional one has to fulfill a far smaller number of requisites.
Reinventing the Plus 8 has allowed Morgan to build on the AERO brand in a higher part of the market.

Love it but the book opening seems to invite paint work damage...that said I'd still love one.

It looks stunning, far, far better than the previous Aero 8s.
Well done Morgan!

Aero 8 Barchetta would be a very fitting moniker
What sort of nutcase is drooling over cars at this time of day?

Peter agreed. The back end is particularly good. Though it seems you need to open the boot to fill the petrol tank
