In need of advice.
Its time to change my tyres which are now 6 years old and having read previous threads on the subject, I am still confused. My choice is between the Vredestein Sportrac 5 or the Toyo T1-R. Does anyone have any experience of either.
Thanks in advance
Neil

Vredsteins for wet or Michelins if you can afford them, they will probably outlast the Vredsteins, but you will probably be replacing either due to age before you wear them out at 5-6 years of age.

If you have 16 inch wires then go for the Toyo Proxes T 1R every time.
Great grip , wet or dry and a reasonable price too.
Nothing else comes even close.
The sprint and hillclimb fraternity use them for a reason. They are best for grip.

Not according to the ratings on tyre websites required by the EU for the wet performance

Not according to the ratings on tyre websites required by the EU for the wet performance John Don't believe everything you read on websites The competition guys take quite a bit of time to establish the best tyres, and I have not seen many of the SpeedMog competitors on Michelins (although I have not been to many events in the last 6 months)

Andy, I wanted the best in the wet after getting a nice 360 skid on the orignal tyres. I am happy with them but then I don't race the car.

I have had good service from Yokohama C.Drive2. They are about £70 a corner.

When I eventually get my car back it will have 5 new tyres fitted. I asked the good folk at Perranwell what they recommended the answer came from the whole team down there was Toyo T1-R so that is what will be fitted.
They reckoned the best all round all season tyre
