Two teaser questions ....1 ...Will the new boot be made from aluminium or fibre glass ? 2....Will the closet aero (+8) have the new chassis with its double wishbones ,anti roll bar ect Surely MMC are not going to make two different aero chassis ?

Why fibre glass? According to Miscellany, the modified chassis and suspension will roll over to the Plus 8 for 2016.

Makes sense. They can't sell the Euro 5 version after the end of August and as the current Plus 8 is a variant of the current Aero it is logical that the 2016 Euro 6 Plus 8 will be a variant on the 2016 Euro 6 Aero. Then of course for next year at Geneva 2016 they will show the new Roadster (Plus 6) and the Aero 6. I could order one for my 70th birthday

That's an interesting hypothesis Peter, which might just get some juices flowing.

On a previous thread it was mentioned that the later Aeros had a fibre glass boot. ? I'm not sure as I'm a lucky S1 owner ,I would hope that it is a superform product on the new Aero ! .......

According to Miscellany, the modified chassis and suspension will roll over to the Plus 8 for 2016. The test vehicle for the new chassis and suspension is a Plus 8 as they did not want to bring attention to it with an Aero body. It is driveable and raises the 'go-kartness' of the Plus 8 to another level. It does not make sense for MMC to have two chassis SKU's for Aero, so I think the chassis will be under a Plus 8 before 2016.

I could order one for my 70th birthday Peter, my understanding is that the Euro 6 version of the V8 differs from the Euro 5 by only the homologation paperwork. The actual emission limits permitted are, for non direct injection gasoline engines, the same as Euro 5. So all the MMC stock of V8 motors is now Euro 6. I share your hope that a Plus 6 and Aero 6 appear.

Colin musgrove built a plus 6 many years ago. He converted a plus 4 by dropping a BMW 6 cylinder 2.5 litre unit in it, I saw it many years ago at his workshop, the car still exists I believe last heard of in the ashby de la zouch area of Leicestershire, not sure where it is now. Colin even changed the bonnet badge to read +6

Not too sure about that boot and tensioning system hope they dont rush things and cut corners or it will end up style over subststance, lovely looking car but i personally like the mk4 there must be a cost saveing in the new chasis i wonder how much they will reduce the plus 8.
