I had toyo proxes on my old plus 8, superb tyre in both wet or dry conditions. Hoping I can get them for my plus four when I change tyres next month.

Toyo's I would say great in dry, reasonably good on slippy/wet roads, in torrential rain and standing water they will suffer as most do. There are other better tyres for the wet but pricey. If you are a fairish weather driver then the Toyo's are the job, if you want value and all round performance then from what I've read and others have said the Vredsteins are hard to beat.

I had Toyo T1-Rs on my T16 +4, fitted by the previous owner. Impressed. I have Vredestein T-Tracs on the 4/4 and also find them very good...

Thanks for all your comments - decided to go with the Toyo T1Rs, mainly as these are fitted to our hill climb car and seem to be good in the wet.

Neil Hopefully you will not get any induced steering wobble when you get up to speed.

I have had good service from Yokohama C.Drive2. They are about £70 a corner. I have just put new of these on all corners of the Plus8. Bought from Blackcircles and home delivery £68 each. Tyre/ MOT place I use fitted them for free for me...gave the chap £10 anyway. The old tyres had 3mm left but changed anyway. New have 8mm. I find them good for grip, except on a wet diesel spill on a roundabout! Mind you, too heavy right foot is still easy to spin up/ drift(!).

Neil Hopefully you will not get any induced steering wobble when you get up to speed. I would rather have wobbly wheels than have to drive in limp mode.
