That's bad luck Kurt. I'm wondering now how common belt damage is? Definitely need to add a hex drive (to remove the cover) to the tool roll.

It was great to meet you guys, I have spent all day stripping the interior out of the old girl. I could have scooped out the salt with a spoon. I hope we get a good shower to wash the roads off. I'm going to fit the extra mudguard also. The horror under the boot liner was total. An awful lot of rust also. hope to catch up with you again.

Matty - I'm dreading what I'll find under the liner - It's my mission to make it all good again though - and yes I'm absolutely up for meeting up again - out today in the M3W to the H cafe outside Oxford. - amazing drive home when I bumped into a fantastic home build 3 wheeler which used a mini front subframe and a vt500 engine and transmission - awesome

Hi Robert adding a hex drive is mandatory :-) I think in general the belt is only wonder risk, when driving curves to the left, because the right side is more protected by the tyre. Maybe Morgan could add a small guard under the floor next to the belt. I will check an own modification next time I have access to a car lifter.

Springtime in Stockholm! 16 degrees yesterday!
A wonderful trip through town and about. All smiles.
Almost up to 7000 km now. Very happy with the Empire kit. No need for a two handed panic grip any more.
More modifications? Maybe a rear mud guard, an umbrella holder or maybe a....

There is a hint of bump steer when hitting large pot holes, but basically it is a dream to drive now. One handed, no problem.

Great. I think the remaining 'bump steer' may actually be due to the offset of the geometry, or incorrect king pin inclination. To put it another way, the upright is too upright and if a line is drawn down through the angle of the upright to the ground, instead of the line more or less being in the centre of the tyre, it will hit the ground a good couple of inches, around 500mm, inside the tyre, this will inevitably give some kickback due to the leverage. Does that make sense?
