Welcome to TM. The 4.6 is a beast! My friend has one & I've driven it several times now - you'll have a fantastic retirement if you find a good one! When you find it - don't forget to post !

Thanks for the replies Totally confused now. I like the look of this 4.6 one. As I said already tornado chipped and done by RPI. By the sound of things this upgrade should help the cooling issues then. The issue that now concerns me based on one of the replies is that the owner only did 150 miles last year and 600 the year before. Its a 1998 with 18000 on it so only like a 1000 a year mileage. Thanks for your comments chaps

Hi Bob, I expect just to differentiate between the two Efi types. As Land Rover had done just the same (where the engines came from) I expect that was easiest for Morgan too...

Al, If that 4.6 has chosen you, and it sounds like it might well have done, just GO FOR IT!! Whatever you end up with, it. I've had two Morgans that had done little mileage in the years before I bought them (both Ford powered, but rather different generations) I've not had major problems. Water pump failure on little used engines is not uncommon once you start to pile on the miles. My X-flow did that and I had a similar problem with a Range Rover 3.5. The present car needed replacement rear brake cylinders. None of this is insurmountable, and perhaps could be considered recomissioning... Cheers,
Graham (G4FUJ)
