My M3W is getting a new chassis courtesy of me thinking it was an off road vehicle and I have been visiting it weekly at the dealers. The mechanic who is reassembling the rig mentioned that he had ordered a new fuel sender as mine was "inaccurate". I explained that this sender was 280mm versus the original 240mm and was more accurate then when delivered. He claimed that the latest version from Morgan was "dead on" and totally accurate. While I am keeping the 280mm sender in case this is not true, it made me realize that I have seen no complaints from 2014/15 owners on inaccurate fuel readings. Is it true that Morgan has upgraded the fuel sender??

My car was built late 2014. The fuel gauge reads zero to full over about 5 imp. gallons - leaving about 3 imp gallons to the imagination. So it looks as though it has a 250mm sender. As to accuracy, it may be, but is appreciably affected be the attitude of the car.

Thats a good point. I have a dec 2014 build car and ran it to 0% today and it didn,t run out!. It took just over 27 litres, i did the brim fill thing which of course i then remembered its not the done thing as it wasnt running quite so well afterwards. So it took 6 gallons from the indicated 0% to fill it. It should hold over 9 gallons so i guess 0% is still plenty left. So it looks like no change at the factory yet.
Better than being the other way round
