the leap forward compared to our '78 4/4 is huge,
this is a car you don't get tired in as much,

up till now I think the engine is only 10% of the fun
a 4/4sports would be almost as good,
so I hope that after the 1400km=4000maxRPM it can show
the extra cash is worth it

I realy love the combination of black/burnt orange and the brushed aluminium of the dashboard

first thing to do: look for a better gps,
got an old tomtom for the mini/morgan but I'm realy fond of the gps in the mercedes,
so I'll try the new tomtom that also shows the lane at highway-junctions

New NavMan 'Spirit' models do this as well - and one supplier is listing the wrong model. PM me if you want an S300 for S200 price...

Don't worry 1560, the V6 loves to rev and that's the thing which I think stands out so much. Driven 'normally' it doesn't feel special.frown2 But when you floor it, there's no time to look down at the revcounter as you are propelled forward like a missile. grin2 I know the later spec engines are slightly down on power, but I doubt you'll notice. Just be patient.laugh2

And this post (I think) Is my 100th. WhoooWhooo! happy3

Congrats again 1560, I'm pleased to hear that the car is fulfilling your expectation, and then some... woohoo

Good synthesis of the ford CSG630.

A discrete and shy beast in town cruising, a fierce animal in the effort.

The only problem, on my side, is to have the courrage to flat out... At 5500rpm I'm already wetting my trousers.
Honestly, I never reached the disruptor (I imagine there's one up to 6500)

I say 5500, but with the noise. I'm too focused in driving and controling the thing to peek an eye on the rev counter...
