I was teamed up with Greg Dixon-Smith from the factory and we went up in a red one. Also we had a an enjoyable drive around the local countryside in out 44 Sports, a very enjoyable day especially as Greg wanted to show me some other forbidden fruit. The factory Aeromax had been brought along and Greg got his hands on it and we blasted off up the hill. That noise and experience has never left me. I took a lot of pictures on the day, this one of the green 44 Sport ready to do the hill climb. That might be Matthew Humphries at the wheel and perhaps your car. Roger, thanks for that, I think you won. I was at the 44 Sport launch at Prescott and the factory let us drive their brand new 44 Sports up the hill, not once but 3 times. I bought one later that year, my first Mog and an excellent car. If you went up in the green 4/4 at the launch, so did I : and now I own her! Clearly meant to be!

Thanks Lightsphere!
It definitely is Matt H driving and I'm sure its Henrietta - correct Motolita wheel, gear knob, lack of cargo net and - crimple in driver's headrest.
Will save a copy to my "Henrietta" file, if that's ok?
Cheers

+1 another aero supersport booked in, having carefully read the small print on minors being allowed as passengers. If I don't have the buggy in the boot plenty of room for biscuits. First visit, so what else should we make sure we don't miss on the day alongside the cars heading up the hill run?

I don't recall if helmets are required for the hill runs and I can't find anything on the Morgan web site.

I'm not sure what the rules are at Shelsley, but at Prescott's non competitive runs helmets are not allowed for four wheeled vehicles. But you certainly don't have to wear a helmet at Shelsley for Thrill on the Hill.

I didn't use a helmet at either the first or second 'Thrills' I attended, nor did I see anyone else in a four wheel Mog wear one. Several in M3W's though.

Mind you Peter (Gamba.unga) is in danger of taking his eyes out with the rapid acceleration from his throttle bodies plus 4 when the dangling corks off his Aussie hat swing madly around as he screeches from the start line!

If I do that the screeching you are likely to hear will be coming from my automatic speed and traction control system
