Hello All: I just purchased a Plus 8 from Allon White and my wife and I are planning to cross the pond in April to pick it up and do some touring of the continent for a few weeks. (My first Plus 8). Picked a 1990 because it meets the 25 yr exemption for US importation. After the trip it gets shipped back to USA to join my 1930 Aero here in Florida.

My question is this: what is the size of the storage area behind the seats in a 1990 Plus 8 (top down--is there any other way to tour)? Need to verify luggage will fit (especially my wife's). Also purchased a "boot bag". Any suggestions on how to secure it so it does not "disappear" while the car is parked?

Here is photo of Morgan. https://allonwhite.co.uk/used-morgan-cars-for-sale-uk/1990-morgan-8-black-st729

All input on packing a Morgan for an extended trip would be appreciated. Also looking for suggestions on interesting routes etc.

Did I mention that it has a roll bar installed?

Thanks.

Boy that is good value I hope it gives you lots of pleasure. We normally use soft bags in the back, so sports type bags. It has a rack so can take a suitcase also.

The roll bar will I guess affect the inside space but if you have clothes they would squeeze up in a soft bag.

You could look at this security system for any bags in the rack. I've used it both on the car and motorcycle as well.
Pacsafe

I use a smaller version attached to a security cable in the car to keep, camera gear etc safe.

PS. Welcome to TM and that Plus8 looks rather tasty! You'll find Allon White a nice dealer to use.

Librands also do a lockable footlocker. Allon white fitted one to my Roadster before collection.
My wife also finds it comfortable to put her feet on.

We use a bootbag on the rack and stuff more into the "luggage space" behind the seats in smaller bags.
Passenger footwell is sometimes used too! swmbo likes to take the kitchen sink!
If expense is not a problem there is a "Mogbox" to be had that fits onto the rack. and is lockable....someone here can get the details as it was in another topic recently. Also the Mulfab footwell box.
Hillsalive bespoke fitted luggage.
Enjoy the tour and many years of driving.

I was just going to say that Graham, I am delighted with mine, there are pictures on here somewhere but you have more PC skills than me and I cant work out if I can repost them? Perhaps Philip can find the pictures? The Mogbox is a very secure way of carrying luggage and is big enough to hold at least one sportsbag, camera case, a pair of coats and half a dozen bottles of whisky......don't ask ;-). You can buy an inner bag but its eye wateringly expensive for a bag and anyway when full is very heavy to carry, I prefer an overnight bag and all my clutter in there. Other sports bags are secured behind the seats with cycle wire locks for about £10
