My 1983 +8 heater fan is seized
does anyone out there know where to source one from? mine is a smiths unit part number fhr 9316 a google search has drawn a blank

Quick update
Did the old fashioned thing and took it to pieces before ordering new/replacement. There is a 'cir clip' type washer that centralises the armature onto a dimple in the housing. The clip and armature end had become rusty over winter. A bit of emery over the armature, a blast of WD40 and a blob of grease to hopefully keep the damp out have the fan spinning freely again.

You didn't use the car over winter? In that case you don't need a heater anyway somestick
