Anyone replaced the leather at the top of the driver's door? I have removed the cracked material on the roll-over; the foam is still good. Any hints or ideas appreciated.

AFAIR it's pretty straightforward, there's a metal plate that screws to the top of the door, the leather goes underneath, round over the top, and is then secured to the inner face of the door. The only tricky bit is sewing the little 'U' shaped section to hold the shape at the trailing edge of the door. I outsourced this bit to 'Er Indoors.

 has a number of uses and a good sewing machine certainly helps.............. Although I tend to hand stitch my own leather accessories.

Replaced my door topper a few months ago, I bought a pre-cut and stitched one from Morgan Spares in NY. Pretty straightforwards, lining it up so it sits correctly was the only tough part.

Not just for the car but other recreational leather goods. For example, I have a very fine black leather pouch for my phone. Happy to show it on request! I've also made phone pouches for MrsW and MissW, and I made a pouch for MrsW's hairdressing scissors. All made from soft supple leather offcuts, sourced on e-bay. I'm quite handy with a leather needle & thread these days.
