Perusing the options list of the Trad range I see a "side exit stainless exhaust system" listed for the Roadster... does anyone have any pictures/videos of this setup? It has got to be a fairly lesser checked option as I've never seen or heard of it mentioned. Would love to know what it does for the new 3.7 Roadster and whether it looks the part or not. Thanks!

If you look carefully at photo number two in my Curborough Sorint photos, that is a 3.7 fitted with side exhausts. Sounded gorgeous!

Side exhausts sound great on my plus 4 so on a v6 they should be vital for enjoyment , just do it !

Hi Matt,

I have side exhausts (single each side) on my 2011 3.0 litre V6 Roadster.

Look and sound great, and were fitted when the car was new by a well known Morgan dealer in England.

Good Luck

Hi David,

Do you have any photo's of the exhausts from under the car and do you know if it is a DIY job,

Regards

Andy

Hey David,

I'm keen on this idea as well - any chance of it being able to DIY?

Happy Friday! (....in OZ)

If the side exhaust fitting is the same as on the Plus 8 then it involves cutting a shape out of the lower edge of the running board and edging it with a poished stainless piece screwed through the running board.

The exhaust is then a 90 degree bend after the silencer extending out through the new cut out.

Advanced DIY and a one way trip.

After driving Aeros with both conventional and side exhausts I wouldn't have the side exhaust, the noise is wnderful, but wearing and for me, on a long trip, earplugs would be needed.

On proper Trads (sorry to rub it in Peter wink ) there is no need to trim the wings. The side exhaust pipe is a pretty simple fit to the rear of the silencer and the exhaust mount just behind it.
