Indeed, but it was just an opportunity to sneak a comment in on the seemingly increasing numbers of trads I've seen so equipped.
Folks getting softer in their old age, perhaps ?

At 5am on a winters day I was very glad of the side screens and not ashamed to say so either..... Ooooooh I wonder if the missus would stretch to a Flying jacket for my B'day these modern fangled gortex thingies seem so wrong !

A flying jacket is the way to go for winter driving comfort around the lug-holes. This was taken on a chilly February day as I was leaving Kevin Vernon's place. Pic courtesy of Colin the Janner Spuggler. You've got to admit, it's a better look than a wind deflector

I like the top-down and then the wind can escape as quickly as possible. Wouldn't want to deflect it - just let it go.
Avoids blaming the dog.

I had one in my Series 3. I used it once and never used it again. Not attractive to look at and not that effective.

I don't get this convertible with wind break business
Every one I've ever had with a new car has gone straight into the back of the garage somewhere
With a classic it's even more hideous
