Cereal: you mentioned...."Roof clips – hold the S1 early roof securely for high-speed cruising" (in the Buyer Guide)

where do i get these from; as the roof billowing up is driving me potty and reducing my enjoyment. Do you have any; i asked at my local dealers and trimmer and couldnt reach a solution for keeping the roof down (and even the special way of folding it in on tself doesnt work at many leptons..).

Currently been travelling alot and the only thing keeping me going is thinking I'll soon be able to get home for a decent blast; and when i go out the roof makes me grumpy..but not as grumpy as bosly on pistonheads..what was all that about?

I can't quite remember who makes them.. I need some myself.. I think it was Allon Whites OR Simmonds?

Simmonds do this, its relatively inexpensive and quite a quick job.

2 bushmills and 2 beers later; allon whites dont do them; shall try simmonds. But hopefully they dont create an ugly look or impact the bodywork?

It does involve sitting a couple of small catches on the rear shell above the boot. Not a big modification though. I'm sure simmonda will have pictures.

My solution was a wedge (small canvas bag with a couple of towels in it) between the headrest and the roof. Works with the seat all the way back and stops the roof coming unrolled at high speed when correctly packed down.

Hi Wolfie

Not often do I lose my rag but I can't stand arrogant smugness and an MO of constant sniping and bitching designed to deliver a message that IMHO is untrue.

His hatred of MMC and Aero's is renowned and that is enough to get my back up but the two subtle digs about TM were completely below the belt. I quoted the obvious but there is another slightly less obvious at the end of one of his posts. He resents TM as competition (his numbers are dwindling, he runs his site with a rod of iron if you deign to profer an alternative unacceptable view. Many banned formed their own forum in retaliation. We of course are growing nicely) and as an 'Aero' site. Regrettably he does not conform to the "a Morgan is a Morgan is a Morgan" attitude that sits and exists so well here on TM.

His knowledge, particularly on plus 8's and his willingness to share it is unquestionable and admirable, I am more than happy to recognize and promote his strengths.

Search his posts on here, and on PH under the name Bartell that he was posting under until recently (I and others Sussed this and I called him out). You will see a constant undercurrent of untruths and crap designed to undermine MMC and Aeros. If you get a chance to see his posts on his own site it's even more blatant.

His MO is evident in his response to mine, erase the statement I quoted then ask 'innocently' what did I do to upset you? Well if you didn't erase the obvious snide comment you wouldn't need to ask. In a thread forum this is still obvious by scrolling up but he is more used to -mail forums where this selective editing also adds to the underhand manner.
All IMHO of course

Anyway enough of hijacking the thread, please PM me, anyone, IF you want further info. Feel free to comment on here if you agree or disagree but I won't elaborate on here any further.

As you were, nothing to see here.... smile

Cheers

Boshly the Great,

The lack of any reply to your most recent attack post is no surprise. Others are apparently appalled as I. Many contacted me in anger to draw my attention to it.

For those who find his distasteful rant of interest, Wolfie is right. Boshly moved an attack against me from Pistonheads to here. See next link. Boshly is the boss here and feels more comfortable presenting with misinformation at TM than in another's forum http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic...%20conversions?

I would not normally reply to public attacks this vile. However, after 24 hours, it is obvious that the other TM Moderators wish to leave Boshly's posting public, an example of something. My own co-Moderators would oust me from eMog for words like Boshly's in an instant.

What dig are referring to? What hate has been expressed? Simon has confirmed here many times that eMog and GoMoG were the ONLY Morgan help he received when he started TalkMorgan. He also wrote me of your own hostile reaction to him also. Your main tenet was that Simon was out for money. http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic...m&mid=20563 You had no facts for your attack on against Simon then and no facts in your attack on me and eMog now. Get a grip.

Your remarks betray your ignorance and animus. eMog numbers are continually growing. We are bigger now than we have ever been. We are also happy that TalkMorgan has been able to attract members. Ask Simon what happened to his numbers when we helped him promote TalkMorgan on eMog and GoMoG at his start. eMog is more technically oriented than other Morgan forums. We do not keep that a monopoly. We try to support TalkMorgan and any Morgan owner in that area always. Scores here know that from personal experience.

What hat do you pull that from?!! Everything done on eMog is a consensus opinion of 5 Moderators, 1 from Europe, 2 from the UK, one from the US and myself in Canada/UK. I invite to contact any of them. If I get out of line, I hear about it pronto. My co-Moderators would oust me from eMog in an instant for words like yours. No eMog moderator would dream of writing or permitting such attacks.

You see, for most Morgan owners, Morgans are much more than a car or a marque..they are a code of conduct. You don't get it.

You mean the Naughty Boys Club (NBC)? (smile) That was set up by eMog, MogTalk and TM members. They post to all forums (eMog and MogTalk) and amongst themselves. The eMog ties are very strong. I believe only a single member amongst them was banned from eMog. eMog has had to remove seven people in 9 years and 70 million emails. I regret every one but at times, certain behavior can be damaging to a group and the group comes first.

In fact, you list 35 Aeros out amongst 500+ trad owners. That that makes it a trad site. However, your Aero owners are the most prolific posters. That's great! But for some perspective, GoMoG sees more people in a morning than TalkMorgan sees in a year. We can help you get more Aero owners if you wish..but YOUR presence makes us understandable fearful to do so. You are prone to to easy and inaccurate public raging. I wish it were not so.

You have to be kidding! (smile) You cannot be unaware that one of my cars is a Morgan Factory built one-off. I have stated on eMog, GoMoG and TalkMorgan countless times that Aeros are true Morgans and have and will argue that point until I'm hoarse. Do a search on any of them to confirm. I enjoyed the first Aero I drove in 2003 and we enjoyed our time with the Factory Aeromax last year.

However, like all Morgan models including my own eMog will argue or praise their marketing, their craftmanship, their styling, their profitability and their mechanics and their management until the cows come home. So many eMog solutions have worked their way into the cars and improved them.

"Crap and untruths"...where..what? The only thing that your posting history shows is that you are ready to say anything, invent anything, and go to any lengths to fabricate a point.

Aliases have sadly become the rule on most forums..like here and on other forums. eMog has always been a private, not public forum and we were always afraid that it encourage unwanted excesses. I don't use aliases. After 15 years ,GoMoG is more recognizable a name for me in the Morgan world than Lorne Goldman is. (smile) We went through this at my first posting on TM years ago and it was agreed that gomog was the best way of naming me for quick recognition.

"re-editing" is not possible on eMog. It is possible here. I am not sure what you are getting at. If you do not like editing, you can click a button and change the TM settings to eliminate that function for everyone. It is your choice not anyone else's. Go ahead.

But you already have. Here, TM and any to whomever you can get to listen to you.

I request the group's Moderators and administrator, friends and participants to copy me with any private messages Boshly encourages and disseminates. This unsavoury silliness has gone beyond buffoonery into sanctions provided by law.

Lorne,

Boshly's comments were brought about by the comment you made to a response I had posted on PH to a request for information.

I had simply pointed the poster in the direction of the TM website in an attempt to help him answer his question.

Your response to this was in reality fairly patronising.

Despite my user names I am a laid back person, and didn't bite when I could have done. Boshly did and I thank him for this.

I purchased my aero via this site, and have found the help provided excellent. I have also had the pleasure of meeting a numbers of member of the site and found them all to be reasonable intelligent people, but more importantly for me they are all devoted MMC.

Before purchasing my aero I had tried other Morgan communities but the email based format was difficult to navigate so I simply gave up, my guess is that anyone posting on PH will encounter similar problems.

I have met Boshly on numerous occasions, and to be perfectly honest with you I cannot find anything to fault with the man, he is sociable, friendly and above all a devout petrolhead. Boshly has made his comments and I am a great believer in the simple statement that there is no smoke without fire.

I have never meet you and would not post a patronising response to someone else’s post unless I knew that person and believed they would not be offended. Given your response to my simple and what I assumed helpful post on PH does lead me to support Boshly arguments rather than you own. Perhaps one day we will meet and you will be able to pursuade me that you are a wonderful guy, but then again perhaps not.

Dear Lorne, you can type another thousand words (hope not), but replying 'Really?' to someone who wants to help isn't a classy thing in my book.

You've got what you deserved, now please give me back the time I've lost reading your post. coffee

Grow up Lorne.

How old are you? You act like my 16 year old step daughter.
