Whilst preparing my 2006 aero 8 Mk3 for MOT/Service I removed the grill and to my surprise, the quality of manufacture is far superior to the grill fitted to the plus 8. I have attached a few pictures and wondered if the same quality had been carried over to the later aero 8s/SS/Coupe.

Martin, that looks pretty poor, I think I would be asking for a replacement under warranty. ooo

I'm confused....are the photos of the Aero8 or Plus 8 grill?

Ah.....I'm not taken with the quality of the mesh but the rest of it looks fine to me.

I agree.....the grill is ok-ish...shame the welds were not polished a bit!
The mesh is poor. It should ideally have a circumference with an edging piece all round, made of the same gauge wire. Those protruding bits are terrible, for a premium car especially.

I am planning to change oil/coolant/brake fluid on Saturday and thought I might change the radiator hoses. Costs for two hoses £210 + VAT, WOW.

Sorry Jays and Sospan have to disagree the welds in this state will rust up quite quickly. Would not de surprised if standard steel was used to weld with instead of stainless. Not great workmanship IMHO.
