Hi all
Just a quick post to let you all know I have been informed by my dealer Philip in Belfast that my new 4/4 sport (sport grey) has been born and now lives in the chassis / panel shop ! Birth date was last monday 23rd Feb and the birthing should take around 6 weeks......the wait is agonising.

Congratulations. Are you having a build record done of your Mog?

Hi Trent
Yes I have ordered this as I think it is a part of the whole Morgan Ownership experience. In fact when I visited the factory in late January I met the very affable guy who will be taking the photos throughout the build. Looking forward to seeing it, but it would be even better if it was possible for those photos as they were being collated to be forwarded to keep the expectant owners excitement going. Maybe I should forward that idea to Charles et al as another extra service !
Regards

The build record is a good decision. I also like your idea of online build updates, with photos. I think this would be quite time intensive for MMC but wouldn't be too difficult to implement as all the photos are already in digital format (of course!).

I'm at the factory in the near future, so if you want me to look for your car, let me know (via PM) your details (dealer and your name) and I'll try to get some photos for you. camera

Happy for you - great choice of spec too! I probably saw it in its raw state when I was at the factory last week. You should definitely get over to see it being made: that really is part of the experience of commissioning a car I think.

Hi Andy
Hope you did indeed see it when you visited last week. (Can you even guess what exact stage it might have been - raw chassis, engine in place, panel shop....any details would be most appreciated). The factory spec is basic of basics as I have ordered it Sport Grey, without door handles and no bonnet louvres (apart from six pairs on top of the bonnet over the air intake)although will be fitting sports exhaust, two eared spinners, mesh grille, round door mirrors and the new Steve Simmonds Super Spoke steering wheel. So much looking forward to driving it as its been two years since I sold my Aero 8. Will keep everyone informed of the build updates !Stephen

Great to hear your car is on time. I look forward to comparing notes.
I have an email you might be interested in from a Roadster owner who has changed to the Sport. I will forward it on to you.

Visit to the factory definitely a worthwhile experience. Have just dug out the photo record of mine being built - glad it was done.

Hope you don't mind if I also PM you some details of my car. It started build Monday this week. Its a +4 going to be Chrysler Inferno red with biscuit leather. I am getting the build record but the more the merrier in terms of its build history. Unfortunately I'm too far away at the moment to pop by myself. cheers
