my electoral ward is classified as ultra marginal. Someone has decided to run around fixing the potholes One week before the election. Fair enough. But someone needs to tell these peopke that tarmac doesnt set well when its raining.
this was done this morning.
it took 5 hours to disintegrate.

I wish we lived in a marginal. The labour majority here is so enormous, that my vote really doesn't count whoever I vote for.

Round here they have suddenly painted round the potholes with white paint to make us think they are about to be repaired. Maybe if the colour of the local government changes they won't bother

Please, don't mention this fiasco. I am trying to hide and this is one place where political rubbish is largely absent.

I'm going overseas on Tuesday and shall not return until after the event. I really don't care as just as Dave W has said, it is all a bit of a charade. In my case the Majority is Conservative, but in effect my vote is meaningless. So I don't bother to take any interest.

End of the financial year and councils using up the budget in case it gets cut next year. Contracts for repair placed prior to april 5th.

Used to be in a related business and the end of year contracts rush happens every year without fail.

I have stopped buying my regular paper till it's over and have replaced Radio4 with 6 music.

Fed up with over analysis ,speculation and point scoring..
