Not good. I had it even worse on the house I left behind in Sydney when the NSW State Government decided they were going to rip off property owners with high taxes. I sold the house to my daughter and the Government dropped the new taxes swear
Then daughter got divorced after 5 years and had to sell. The house sold at auction for twice what she had paid for it banghead
Now rentals in Sydney have skyrocketed and the value of the house would be much more than double. Worse property decision I ever made banghead swear mad2 banghead

And the neighbours, and the planners and the parish council.

Strange the local gypsys don't have this problem

The Westfield is easily quicker than Nissan GTRs and the like on track. Normally the only things that come past have aerodynamic aids.

On a hill climb, with so little weight to push up the hill it would be awesome. flag

Catethams and Morgans have a huge similarity......
Aerodynamics of a barn!
The windscreens are like airbrakes.
A few years ago I nearly built a Raw Stryker....a Seven style car.....but bought a 4/4 instead!
The Stryker was a More compact( yes it is possible) version and came with a Toyota Twin Cam 1.6....a supercharged version had been developed too....est at 230 bhp!
I drove a race prepped version normal aspirated with Omex...awesome!
Cost would have been sub £12k. All new parts. What a car! Despite the race tune it was a great easy drive, very tractable at town driving. He developed a full bodied variant called the Fulcrum, to improve aerodynamics.
Mel Coppick owned Raw at the time...now retired and a company bought the rights off him.

I've owned 6 westfields to date and a few more chassis and engines as well, but never an FW400, so have to ask is yours the Orange and gray/black 2 tone one?

The Kits have been getting better, but the shows like Stoneleigh have not and that is an issue for the manufactures. Customers expect a more "production" finish and quality and as such also expect more from the sales, but Stoneleigh is shrinking with Exhibitors and still does the same old. 6 or 7 years ago they were struggling for exhibitors so we as the WSCC were given almost 25% of the big barn to stage a Motorsport theme stand, and we built a car on the Factory stand to show quick and easy it could be. As part of the club committee we are proud of these and to help, but as an individual i can not but help think it needs fresh excitement.

Friend of mine sold his Can Am Ultima twin turbo last year as too quick, and the only coupe i drove was simply too noisy to be any kind of longer distance machine….for me at least, and my westy had no doors or screen.

Hi Mark it is the silver and black one. I believe it is the only one with carbon bodywork. We have wrapped the chassis white to protect it and will paint the body panels white to match shortly.

One of the FWs is off the road and is having its chassis rebuilt after a fire!

It has some cool bits on it including dry sump, with a custom exhaust, carbon silencer, throttle bodies, Tillet carbon seats and some bespoke carbon bits. It has a redesigned front ARB as the standard bar broke a number of times. We have taken quite a bit of weight out of it including race bolts in titanium and aluminum which we have lock wired to save the washers and spring washers.

Aeroman and I have kept all the original parts and so it can be made factory again. We also have all the factory spares, 12 wheels, a few sets of wishbones, spare dampers. We also had a mould made for the bonnet.

Needless to say it is quick.

Mark, I saw the build when I went there. Well the stand you were on and some of it!
I actually went there to see the Raw Stryker as I was thinking of building one but got distracted by a 4/4!
The show was a bit towards the shed mentality a bit, but enjoyable all the same.
I particularly liked the Ultima stand with the part built cars showing off the structure, build etc.
Gardner Douglas stand was good too..I think they had their Lola kit?
Caterham and Westfield had decent stands.
The parts/ specialist suppliers section could have been better though...needed to move away from the " autojumble" style.
There is a wealth of expertise in the field that would be great to be more visible.
I wouldn't mind another visit too, a different type of day out.
