I intend purchasing a +4 from this period but garage space is tight. Can anyone give me an accurate length? I have seen 3,683mm but as I only have 3,770mm free behind my other car I don't have much to play with. Be accurate please!
+4 1986 - Royal Ivory / Blue Volvo 123GT 1967 - Pearl White / Brown (pristine and very rare)

Just a thought? If measurements are tight and the car has a bumper a few minutes with a ratchet spanner? Might be a pain but if it means you can get the car in the garage?

Neil, whatever measurements you obtain, I suggest that you allow at least 75mm tolerance. Remember that you are considering a handbuilt car built to blacksmiths' tolerances. A few mm here and there can easily add up making one particular car's dimensions different to another supposed identical model. The same goes for width, particularly if the wings have been replaced and positioned to present a wider profile.
As Colin suggested, the bumpers can be easily and quickly removed releasing circa 75mm front or rear.

The description is slightly less applicable to Morgan than it was 15 or 20 years ago and I do not mean it as a criticism; more a quirky and endearing attribute.
Up until recently when Morgan made virtually everything and malleable castings were machined and parts were made up to a template, the tolerances were not and didn't need to be particularly close. The car is hand built and therefore explains why a bonnet or door cannot be transferred from one Morgan to another without serious fettling or adjustment.
Do you just love 'em? I do!

Love them as well but you would hope bought in parts, and a tremendous amount is bought in these days, would be more uniform and have a better fit, the quirks are endearing the mis-fitting not so much so.

For the car in question, still blacksmith's dimensions Love them as well but you would hope bought in parts, and a tremendous amount is bought in these days, would be more uniform and have a better fit, the quirks are endearing the mis-fitting not so much so.
