Does anyone know, with the expected level of uncertainty as we are Talking Morgan, when Morgan Motor Company started offering a Radio as an option at build?
I've asked Martyn Webb as well....
The reason for my question will be revealed in due course!

Have a look in John Worrall's "Original Morgan", he might say in there. I'd have a look for you, but my copy is 100 miles away at the moment.

I have and didn't find anything.. It seems this is not a significant issue in the true world of Morganeering...

As one Morgan dealer said to me, " The Morgan is not the best of environments to listen to a radio".

As one Morgan dealer said to me, " The Morgan is not the best of environments to listen to a radio". There is some truth in that statement, especially when driving spiritedly. But sitting, parked in a field under a tree listening to Test Match Special on the "wireless" is a joy and when stuck in traffic the cheery report of the "traffic totty" on Radio 2 can be comforting as you realise it is "going to be some time"...!

I have a brochure/catalogue from September 1971 and a radio is not a listed option - this covers 4/4, +4 and +8.
However things had changed by 1999 as my present models catalogue lists a radio and aerial. Mine came fitted with a Becker Mexico with matching 6 X CD stacker and 100w Bass booster, the previous owner was in the music business. It's handy to listen to whilst fettling in the garage.
My 1993 Plus 8 had one fitted as a factory extra.

My 1986 model had a radio aerial fitted from new, but I don't think it had a radio originally.

Peter I'm equally intrigued that your profile picture has changed! If I remember correctly that you had the "3 wheel trike" as your profile picture until such point as Caroline was persuaded that an M3W could join the fold with the +8 (or words to that effect)! Is there anything we need to know?

Perhaps the lure of a new kitchen at some point will swing it!
