Dave, You'll be ahead of me then. Planning to leave Cheltenham round 08:00 - possibly earlier if I'm alert! Probably in black Mk1 MX-5 with extra spike(s) on the boot, unless I find the rusty sill on O/S is worse than it appears, in which case it will be the spiky blue 90. Safe trip to Devon! 5 days - well, I've found 3 cars - this one (oldest and most expensive, also looks in best nick). There's an Ivory one at Harpers (my favourite colour ), but it's an Efi... The third I have not been able to contact the owner, it's in Miscellany Classifieds. John - I know where the rusty (and rotting) bits happen in Mogs (thanks Simon), LRs and MX-5s (what's the bad parts of 911's? A pal is looking for one...). If nothing else, I'll get a photo of the Torpoint ferry or bridge over the Camel!

Get a picture of Mr Brunel's bridge. I still remember crossing that by steam train. My father was a Driver for Gods Wonderfull Railway. Good luck.

Good luck Graham. I hope it is a worthwhile journey and the 4 seater turns out to be a gem.

Graham,
Nice tidy looking car, bit of patina on the seats but cared for, similar colour to mine seems like a fair price overall, so hope it turns out to be what you want, I like the green hood mine is black.
I may be on the M5, Chief General Manager wants to go to Cardiff (to a shop of course) so if you see 4 of us on the M5 in a green Morgan well it's us - maybe!
Ps I live near Exeter

Had another study of the pics and it is very nice, Simmonds hood is a real bonus, they are way better than the Morgan original, only chance to get half wet whilst putting it up, just needs a Motalita steering wheel to finish the job,

Thanks all,
Sorry for the delay, between work and sister going into hospital rather suddenly (still waiting for news - she's being shuffled between hospitals and specialists at present) I've not been thinking about cars. Plus, midweek, my ISP encountered problems so I've had very little access to I/net or sending email.
A very enjoyable trip on Sunday - beaut weather. It's a very tidy car for age. Simmonds hood, well, nearly as fast to erect as my old Tasmin's roof. Spent a long time on the way home thinking about it. Then got the two seater out for a quick run around the country lanes. Looked at space and regretfully (probably yet another mistake) decided to keep things as they are. There is someone from Madrid area going to see the car in early April.
Route home was Torpoint ferry and up the A386 to join A30 just before Okehampton. Passed a 4 seater coming south about 5 miles or so north of Plymouth. Followed (a few cars back) what looked to be a +8 towards Okehampton, until I joined the A30.
But, SWMBO gets to have a few days holiday out of it - booked a few nights holiday in early July just a few miles from Torpoint. Hopefully I'll get the photo of the two bridges that I missed this trip (though I did get one, end on, from the overview car park on the Plymouth side).
Thanks for the encouragement and pointers. As for the Lomax, a pal round the corner had one... I've had a weekend in the MTWC's F4 a few years ago - now that was fun!
Cheers, Graham
