Was at Bovey Castle Thursday- nice pint also of Jail Ale. Yesterday took the boat out at Hurley for the first time this season. Mog and MG Midget transported the lunch and drinks to the boat. Weather not great.
Wicked Welsh Weekend had ideal weather and some nice runs. I was a bit surprised at the low traffic levels but this was a plus! No oncoming cars on the Abetgwesyn/ Devils Staircase route, we caught up with some other Morgans along the road. Coming down the Elan Valley we met a good convoy of Classic minis. A few Lotus 7 ( Westfileds I think) on route to Devils Bridge from Tregaron after the Devils Staircase. I was told that Aberystwyth/ aberaeron areas were busy though. Glad we didn't go that route. The coast ateas get very busy. I never get tired or bored with the roads up there.... One thing.....there are no flies left there, most were on the car! The Red Kite population is still growing too...lots seen. There are a few feeding stations in the area. We prebooked the Metropole again for next years Weekend too as in the past. Now......got a year to try and find new roads/ routes!
