I know its probably illegal to have a dog sat on the passengers lap but I would be interested to hear from anyone who takes their dog out for a spin in the M3W.

Some pictures of any budding Muttley's in helmet and goggles would be great to see!

I am a few weeks from delivery but we hope our little Jack Russell will enjoy riding in the new car.

I'm sure your Jack Russell will be fine . My son has a Jack Russell/Patterdale cross and he is very relaxed in the threewheeler , he was a bit restless the first time , but soon settled down , on long journeys he usually he goes to sleep on the floor . Having said that he is a sensible sort of dog ! and never goes on a lead .

Not got round to getting him a helmet and goggles yet !

Laurens wife has a golden retriever or labrador in the passenger seat. But she is a calm mature dog. I think she uses a short lead and lots of cushions.
My mum's border terrier would jump out at the first opportunity.

I think many dogs would jump out if left on the passenger seat but there are a range of harnesses that connect up with a seat belt. I am not sure how the law stands if the dog is sat on the passengers lap and restrained by hand on a lead. As we intend to use the car with my wife or myself in the passenger seat and take the dog most of the time any suggestions would be welcome.

It is possible to fit an additional seat belt buckle for the dog. We have one extra in the rear of our four-seater, so that our cairn terrier can sit on the fifth "seat" in the middle with his harness on.

Our dog was for us one of the reasons to buy the M3W. We're bike riders since young but on a bike one can't take a dog.
We first try two persons and our dog (Labrador) in one M3W but that was really cramped (special for the dog)
In that mean time we loved the M3W so much that the only way to do was order a second M3W.
This is what we did. Need to say that our dog is very calm, thats something whats necessary to take a dog in a M3W.
We trained her by going for a swim (she likes to swim very much) every time we went for a ride. So she quickly made the connection M3W and swimming.
We don't have her on a lash or attached to the car. Don't know if this will be better, it's also depending on the dog.
When it starts raining we put half of the cover on the car so she stay dry.
The only thing what she (AND WE) don't like is the screaming sound of the bevel box. But hopefully in the future there will be a solution to that, joy
If it's legal or illegal I don't know, will be different in every country. But if the police stops you they also don't know because they don't know where to place the M3W.
Is it a car ? Is it a bike? So do like the Chinees, smile, smile, Say yes yes yes. Say sorry sorry. And do if you don't understand what they talking about.
Good change that they let you go.

Thanks for the pictures. He looks very happy.

I don't think we need another M3W for our little pooch as he only weighs 6 kilos.

We are trying him in a hire car from our local dealers on Thursday. I reckon he will love it as I don't know of any terrier that doesn't love all the smells from the air vent in a car and this one will have one BIG air vent!
