The theme at the Goodwood Breakfast Club on Sunday is soft tops. I wondered what TMers experiences of these Goodwood days were. The weather forecast is OK and a drive across the South Downs is always welcome but if I park inside the circuit (I have the pass to print out) how long am I likely to be there and is there enough of interest to interrupt a nice drive?

Most important is the Goodwood Organic breakfast as good as they say it is?

Grateful to any insights.

Mark

I will be there with my 4/4.

Most people arrive before 8 and the early leavers start going about 10, finishes at 12
I haven't been to soft top Sunday before but have been to a couple of supercar Sunday's in the M3W always plenty to see you can easily spend a couple of hours wandering around.

Never been a fan of the breakfast and often very long queues.

The approaches to Goodwood are favourites for speed cameras on these events, so beware.

I'll be there as well with my M3W with Bell & Covill by the Jackie Stewart pavillion at the start of the pit lane:)

The organic breakfast vans are good or the full English is available from the Aero Cafe.

It'll be fairly busy but there will be plenty to see and the approach roads over the South Downs are great fun.

As RogG says watch your speed through the villages as you get close - particulalry as you leave.

I'm a massive fan of Goodwood and a GRRC member but I have to say the breakfast club is my least favourite event. I did softtop sunday last year and I enjoyed he drive down more than the time I spent there. Mostly I guess because of the sheer numbers. Everything Goodwood these days has become so popular that it isn't quite as much fun as it used to be. Having said that its a good excuse for a drive and the bacon sarnies are great. If I wasn't otherwise engaged I would be heading down.

I'll be there too.

I've been to quite a few over the years, a search on TM should find some previous posts ... e.g.: 2010 2011 2012

I've only once sampled the Goodwood breakfast which was nice but I thought very overpriced, I usually have a bacon roll at the ever present NAAFI van. (Note that currently the Aero Club cafe is actually in the old Control Tower while the new club house is being built).

I hope to bump into some fellow Morgan owners in the crowds, the weather forecast for Sunday is very good.

I'll be leaving at about 10:00 to head over to the South Hants Vehicle Preservation Society show at the Queen Elizabeth Country Park (off the A3 south of Petersfield).

Well eventually Chris :-) It was ten to nine when I spotted you driving in, just I was getting ready to leave.

Nice clear skies, I did think about popping over but some bottles of red wine last night put any early drives out of the question wink
