Hi all,

I'm wanting to refurbish my side screens. Where is the best place to get the rubber edging? Mine has degraded over the years...

Also, perspex (acrylic) or polycarbonate for the 'glass'?

Cheers!

If you are talking about an older short-door car, then Melvyn Rutter is probably your best bet. He does complete widescreen reburshment kits, including rubbers and windows (which I think are polycarbonate/Lexan)

One of the rubbers to my sidescreen keeps dropping down. Any advice on best glue to keep it in place?

Are you familiar with the 'new' rubbers that Morgan are using?

This is a 'u' section piece that grips the side screens in place - it's fitted to my 8 but wasn't fitted to my Roadster. Works really well.

Our 4/4 has these. Makes a big difference.

Can someone post a photo of the new rubbers.
If anyone is interested I have 2 bits of Perspex cut to be one panel of a sidescreen for a short door car.

They don't fit all cars John....it very much depends on the clearance between the front of your side-screens and the screen pillar. They are not expensive and if they do fit, they hold the sidescreens firmly.
I'll pop out into the garage later and take a photo.
