Just returned from my first ride of the year( finally a combination of good weather and time).During parking Tango in the garage I spotted some oil on the floor.Oil is dripping from the splitter and the protection screen in front of the small cooler. This on the left side of the car centre( looking fwd). Some wet stains in the LH wheel bay,but does not look like the leak comes from that area. Any suggestions where to look at before starting to strip the front?
Thanks for your help. Rudolf.

sure it is oil? There is an oil cooler right in front of the air con, in front of the rad, the unions are on the near side i think. There is also a gear box cooler up in a wheel area as well i think, air is drawn from the splitter area. This i find useful. http://www.aero-racing.co.uk/partsbooks/supersports/main_menu.htm

I may be way off the mark but I had a similar problem on S1 and ended up as a leaking pipe on the steering pump, with the oil tracking across the underneath to the other side of the car! Not sure if the S4 has the same problem?

Thank you Mark and Taffy. I think it is oil.It looks like it is coming from the connection side of the small cooler(auto box cooler?).But it might be as Taffy says, the oil is coming from another place. Hopefully I have some more time tomorrow to assess the problem.
Rudolf.

Have a look at this thread: http://www.talkmorgan.com/ubbthreads.php/topics/266734/Aero_SuperSports_What_Is_Leaki#Post266734I had the hose tightened and gearbox oil topped up but it started leaking again on our last drive, which was fortunately to the Morgan factory! Apparently this is a common problem - the metal the hose sits over corrodes (inside the hose) and the part (not confident which part) needs replacement at around £500. Sounds like a weakness Morgan or we should address as nothing like this should fail in such a short time.

Found it after removing the splitter and the grille.Just an ordinary puncture of the gearbox oil cooler Now I have to try to get it repaired or replaced here in Sweden. P/N is 52-10328-01 from Setrab oilcoolers ( made in Sweden). Is there somebody here that have instructions available where and how to check and refill the gearbox oil. Also the oil spec is very welcome. No dealer here within 350 km. Rudolf.

What started with the oil leak repair, ended up with a full service.Replaced most fluids.Cleaned the ITG airfilter.Cleaned the tub after removing the wings and front.Had to remove some surface corossion. Replaced all gearbox oil and filter( is the whole sump!) according instructions from the web for a BMW E70 N62 B48 engine.Today I was able to start the engine to fill the gearbox with engine running.I ended up with 8.1 liters of oil. Anybody knows if this is a normal figure.I guess it is since I was not able to fill more, but I could not find an official figure.According the car material shop, the X5 needs 11 liters. Btw,I have drilled a hole in the driver side footwell to get access to the fill plug.Otherwise I was still laying under my car to get the fill plug out.

Glad tango is all sorted Check with the factory on oil capacity - as said before Mark Baldwin is the man - 5 mins of his time saves a lot of worry for you..
