My driveline shunt seems to be more noticeable when I returned from MOG 15. How accessable is it to check the drive shaft bolts

You will need to jack the car up at the back enough so you can slide yourself under the car, and then get a spanner to the bolts.

I have been told by the factory it's worth checking every 500/1000 miles depending how much stick you give the car I guess wink it's supposed to be one of the main things to check every service but dealers don't seem to know about this ?

I do check the drive shaft bolts at the annual service, but have never found any loose over the 7 years and 40,000km I've done with the car.

Cheers

If a bolt/nut needs tightening after 500 miles then there is a major issue with design.
Such nuts should have a locking mechanism
Nyloc/lock washer/threadlock/pin/lockwire.
I find it alarming that the factory reccomends checks that often and not upgrade to make the design safer.
Ok...I have a trad and periodically check nuts/ bolts in some areas such as rear axle u- bolts etc.but not found any slackening to date.
The regular greasing that is advisable on the suspension etc is acceptable and allows a quick undercar check at the same time but driveshaft bolts/nuts at that frequency? A bit frightening.
