I traded in six guitars against this Maccaferri! Three Gibsons, and three other odds and ends. Plus a load of cash. It's a serious illness.

I'm down to 9 guitars at the moment....including a couple of oddities that don't get played, such as my late father's 1948-ish Grimshaw archtop F-hole acoustic.

Congratulations, Nick, those Grande Bouche versions are great, and yours looks absolutely gorgeous. As for the correct number of guitars to own, it's N, where N-1 is the number of guitars you currently own, or where N+1 is the number which when reached, will cause your Partner to kick you out of the house  .

That made me smile! I had a similar discussion with SWMBO regarding guitar N. Fortunately, when she asked if the guitar N was not somewhat excessive, I was able to point out that a weaving loom on each of three floors of the house might also be regarded as excessive. That worked ok, although the consequent withdrawal of connubial privileges has left me with more time to play guitars.....

Dave Sounds familiar! My SWMBO also has a fair number of looms, including a bloody great rug loom in the living room, so I reckon I can safely expand on my current count of 10...

There should be a law against those taylor gs minis.....if you pick one up you have to buy it!
